Community Profile

This community will be used for notices of the NCIS Happy Holidays Advent Challenge.

Part 1 of this challenge runs every year. In some years, there may only be 12 themes instead of 24.
Part 2 was dropped for lack of participation, but will be brought back for our 10th anniversary challenge.
Part 3 is created specifically for our 10th anniversary and will only run in 2025.

Part 1: Advent Calendar Theme days
Each day from Dec 1-24 will have a special theme. You may post a story or artwork regarding that theme on the assigned theme day only. For the 10th anniversary, we have added some optional prompts intended to help spark stories.

Part 2: Stocking Stuffers
You may leave a request for a story or artwork (icons, wallpaper, banner, etc.) you would like to receive, or you may fulfill someone else's request. Stocking Stuffers may be posted any day from Dec 1 through Dec 31.

Part 3: Special 10th anniversary Challenge
This is a special challenge that will only run for the 10th anniversary. The challenge is to create a story or artwork featuring 10 of something - 10 gifts, 10 dinners, 10 phone calls, etc. These items can only be posted on December 25th during the 10th anniversary challenge in 2025.


CHALLENGE RULES for all parts of the Happy Holidays Challenge:

There are no sign-ups, no penalties, no minimum or maximum.
-Just create and post on the correct date!

Participants can create artwork or write stories.

There is no minimum as far as participation.
-If you only want to do one theme, or one Stocking Stuffer, or one Anniversary Challenge, that's perfectly fine.

Any series in the NCIS franchise is eligible
-Original, LA, NO, HI, Sydney, Origins, Tony & Ziva.

Gen, Het, and Slash are all welcome, as are crossovers.
-As this is an NCIS challenge, the NCIS franchise character needs to be the primary character in a crossover.

All stories, artwork, etc. must contain at least one character from an NCIS series.
-This character must have appeared in a minimum of 10 episodes.

We want people to have fun and spread a little joy for the holidays, so we're trying to make it as easy as possible for people to participate.
